Melissa lives on the Bellarine Peninsula with her husband and two children and enjoys walks along the beach. As a teacher Melissa is passionate about education, in particular literacy, and believes the ability to read and write gives power to change.
Her debut young adult novel Destiny Road was released in 2012 and she was selected for The Maurice Saxby Writers Mentorship program in 2015. Her work has won honourable mentions and features in several anthologies. She completed a Master of Education in 2017 while researching Picture Story Book use in the classroom.
Melissa enjoys writing fiction with snippets of fact blended within her work. Her style is constantly evolving and she is looking forward to sharing more stories and spending time creating new ones.
