Malve von Hassell is a freelance writer, researcher, and translator. She holds a PhD in anthropology from the New School for Social Research. In addition to various academic publications, she is the author of three historical fiction novels for young readers, The Falconer’s Apprentice (2015), Alina: A Song for the Telling (2020), and The Amber Crane (2021).
